Athiya Shetty’s MUA Shares How To Get Her Glam Look From ICW '23

At this season’s India Couture Week, Athiya Shetty turned heads with her oxblood red lip and luminous skin as she walked down the runway for Anamika Khanna. A shift from her typical natural and minimal aesthetic, this make-up look was the epitome of the classic effortless glam. Ahead, her make-up artist, Simran Gidwani, shares a step-by-step breakdown on achieving this stunning look.

1. “To prep the skin, I layered products that hydrate and plump up the skin,” shares Gidwani. She started with the refreshing Caudalie Grape Water, followed by The Inkey List Omega Water Cream, while the skin was still damp. “Next, I opted for the Farmacy Honey Halo Ultra-Hydrating Ceramide moisturiser, which has a richer texture to lock it all in.”

2. Once the prepping is done, she used the Weleda Skin Food on the high points of Athiya’s face to create a wet-looking highlighter look. “This makes the skin look glazed and wet even after applying foundation,” she says. “Once the look is complete, I use the Pat McGrath highlight & balm wand to amp up the glow where needed.”

3. For the cheeks, she created a subtle custom shade using the Makeup by Mario lip palette. “Since I knew what lip we wanted for this look, I wanted the blush and lips to look harmonious,” explains Gidwani.

4. She also kept Athiya’s eye make-up look minimum. “I used the Nars Soft Matte concealer as a base and then swept a neutral brown eyeshadow all over the eyelids to add dimension. Next, I defined the lash line with a darker brown shadow and finished the eye look with some individual lashes.”

5. For the brow look, she used the Benefit Precisely My Brow pencil to fill in some gaps and brush them into place to maintain Athiya’s natural shape.

6.
